This year Meriel has been incorporating collage and gold and silver into her rich tapestry-like mixed media paintings, creating interwoven textures and colours.
Her work, some of which is inspired by the Wiltshire downland, some by less tangible environments, has been described as innovative and individual with a strong emotional quality.
