Roger Elliott was for many years Director of Art at St. Mary’s School, Calne. Since retiring from teaching, he has been developing his interest in Printmaking, especially Drypoint Etching and Wood Engraving. The range of linear marks provided by these techniques is ideal for evoking the rich patterns and textures of the countryside themes that preoccupy Roger’s work. On show at Clevancy will be original prints depicting fishing, countryside and local subjects.
